Ultrasound 2002
The first Ultrasound event was launched in November 2002, and featured Alexei Shulgin, Black Faction, Evol, Golan Levin, ixi-software, Nullpointer, PowerBooks for Peace, Printed Circuit, Slub, Xabi Erkizia, Alice Angus, Derek Hales, Jesper N Jorgensen, Christopher Murphy, Andrew Shoben, Dr. Rob Stone, Adam Hoyle, Alex McLean, Adrian Ward, Anthony Rowe, and Blacktronica.

Icelandic Partition

In 2003 the festival presented it's first 'Partition', a term coined by Thor Magnusson of ixi-software to describe the section dedicated the Icelandic artists and performers, programmed by Thor. The reference is to the partitioning of a computer's hard drive.

The Icelandic Partition presented a survey of the Icelandic contemporary music and performance scene, alongside an eclectic mix of UK and international artists and musicians:
